Think green as in Leprechaun inspired.

Think green as in Leprechaun inspired.

Ever thought of Leprechaun as anything else but just silly looking, rainbow climbing creature? Then look closer and you will see that it has huge fashion potential!

After celebrating St. Patrick’s day few days ago it got me thinking that Leps more than anybody could ever think, are making it to the list of Best Dressed in 2012!

Lets take an average, everyday kind of Leprechaun:

Not bad ah? This season is all about green! Whether its mint, pistachio or grass green, fact is stylists and designers have set the mind straight: green is colour of the season! ( good for you Mr. Leprechaun!). Just look at London Fashion Week http://www.londonfashionweek.co.uk.

Peter Pilloto, Margaret Howell, Caroline Charles- only few named designers that used green as their motive colour for Spring/Summer 2012. The colour is matched with range of red, ruby or brick like garments to compliment and spice up the calm, easy on eye greens.

Fact is that this combination of matching pallets has been done long time ago, and used by the Northern Leprechauns which wore their green bermudas shorts with red, military coat. In your face fashion world! Its been done before!

Important role in Leprechaun daily fashion routine plays the hat. Of course it has to be pointy enough and long enough to make them look like they are at least 3 feet high ( modern woman would opt for a pair of stilleto  heels in this case but since we are talking about male representative hat is more in a place here) Hat itself comes with gold buckle, position usually at the front of the hat ( after few pints can be found on the side of the hat ). The same buckle design is then repeated on the belt, and shoes as well. They really tie the whole lot together, remaining clean, head to toe visual balance.

When using block colour like green, its important to keep the rest of your clothing neutral enough, not to distress the harmony of the outfit itself. Option here might be the use of Hugo Boss shirt in crisp white, with grey collar and cuffs ( when used by human raise). Leprechauns would perhaps want to go for white handkerchief wrapped around torso.

The same white / grey would be then repeated on the knee high socks.

Having such an distinguished outfit lied out it would be bold move not to accessories.

Balenciaga has in store few tempting options with especially juicy looking purses and handbags! http://www.balenciaga.eu/en_GB/

Or if you want to keep the  mythic, medieval even look, get yourself wooden pipe ( fr over 18′s only. Younger adults can substitute the pipe with flute for example. Works equally well.) And if you manage to get your hands on handmade wooden pipe then you can be sure to make the Master Leprechaun stylist green jealous!

It looks like the new Lep Look is really hitting the streets fast, and more and more fashion followers include into their outfit choice Lep inspired garments. Seems like it might be the new hit on scale of skinny jeans! Watch out fashion world! New trend has been born!!!

Hotter than ever crowd in Dublin pulls of the new Lep look.
